Cancer Patient Requires Urgent Help

A 15 years old boy, suffering from blood cancer is hospitalized in Shifa International Hospital, H-8, Islamabad. The kid is scheduled for bone marrow transplant in the near future. He comes from a very poor family; his father is a construction laborer from Gujrat; the kid has six sisters. Some 2 months ago, he was covered by Geo TV and a Mr Wahid Zaidi, a businessman from Faisalabad contacted the family. He's been covering the medical expenditures to date on his own. Now, his accounts are running low.

The child needs money. His bills are likely to run close to 20 lac PKR. Currently he's being treated at Shifa International's Clinic for the Poor, which offers 30% rebate on the treatment. As of Saturday, 27 July 2013, the family owed the hospital around 5 lac PKR. The hospital regretted the kid any further treatment. Mr Wahid Zaidi managed another 2,30,000 PKR to continue the treatment.

The kid needs blood. Lots of blood. Today, the hospital advised the family to arrange 10-12 units / bottles of blood. Couple of units have been arranged, many more are required. Please help.

Details of the patient are:
Muhammad Zain s/o Muhammad Saeed
Shifa International Health Management System Patient ID / Account Number: EA5817
Block G-1, Wing 4, Isolation Room

I requested my father to look into the case. He visited the child, spoke to the family and Mr Wahid Zaidi. My father says, the case is legit and the kid really needs help.

Its Ramadan. The last 'Ashrah as well. This is our chance to help a child in need. From what the Last Apostle of Allah told us, Allah comes to His men asking for food, clothes and help. When men like us help men like these, the Apostle said, we actually help Allah. And Allah doesn't forget. He repays His debts for sure: in this world on in the Hereafter.

Please help as much as you can. The donations must be made directly to Shifa International Hospital against the patient's account to help continue the treatment and maintain transparency. The hospital acknowledges the receipt of funds in writing. Please help with blood if you're healthy. Please help save a mother's child.

I'll keep updating the information. Please keep checking and contributing.

Our country is going to the dogs. Its people like Mr Zaidi who are breathing life into Pakistan's veins. Join them. Or, like I've said earlier, we'll continue on our downward spiral towards oblivion.

EDIT / UPDATE 1 (01 August 2013)

Thanks fly out to all those who helped with money and blood. The hospital is discharging the kid since they say they can't help with cancer cure. The kid needs to be shifted to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital at Lahore. From what ever homework Mr Wahid Zaidi has done at his end, the hospital may regret to treat the kid. Still, some fellow there has offered to look at the case. Help us pull some strings at SKMCH and get the kid in there. Mr Zaidi will be out of the country for couple of days and a Ms Aniqa, known to the family, will take over from him for the duration of his stay abroad. My father will also keep on checking.

As of tonight (10 PM PST, 31 July 2013), the family needs around PKR 1,78,000 to cover the hospital expenses. The figure is likely to cross PKR 2,00,000 by the time he's discharged. The kid also needs 3-4 more units of blood. Please help.

Blood can be donated at the Blood Bank against the patients's MR # EA5817. Cash payments can be made against the same MR# at the Administration Office.

A hospital insider has said he can get the family a rebate on the final payment amounting to PKR 1,70,000. But that's not final. If it happens, the money can be sent back to you if the kid doesn't make it in to SKMCH. Or else it will be deposited with SKMCH and fund receipt acknowledged in writing.

EDIT / UPDATE 2 (02 August 2013)

The kid was discharged by the hospital on 01 August. The family is trying to get him in SKMCH. Please help.

The family got a rebate of PKR 1,70,000 on the final payment. The balance amount was cleared through donations.

EDIT / UPDATE 3 (30 August 2013)

The kid expired on 27th of Ramadan. Ms Aniqa contacted me on 13th of August with the news. I was unable to update the post due to personal reasons.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilaehi raaji'oon.

I have donations from the following gentlemen with me.
Mr AK - PKR 3,000
Mr UN - PKR 50,000
Please let me know what to do with it gentlemen.

Is this Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain?

We all remember the "light" side of Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain amply highlighted in the behind-the-scenes video footage leaked in August 2011. We remember the lies, the accusations; handiwork of a master charmer. We remember how he finally confessed to being nasty off-air. That pretty much says it all about his religious authenticty. You can read more about the episode on Wikipedia here, or can view the videos online.

I recently stumbled upon this image while refreshing my study on "Mehdism". The image is used on Wikipedia and can be seen here. Apparently the image has been uploaded by the actual author of the image and shows a "representative" of the Messaiah Foundation International / Mehdi Foundation International (previously Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi International) presenting a memento to famous "Sufi" qawwals Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Ghulam Farid Sabri. The representative apparently is none other than our home-grown Generation Y "scholar" Liaquat Saheb. Or maybe he is a look alike?

If it is Amir Liaquat Hussain in the image, he's not the only Generation Y "scholar" who was involved with non-Muslim preachers in their youth. Zaid Zaman Hamid is another famous Generation Y "analyst", whose involvement with Yousuf Kazzaab made it to the press, but somehow didn't make it to the primetime news.
