Hate Me; Hate You. Love Who?

It is unfortunate to witness the decadence that has befallen us. We are no more a nation, but a band of self centered, money crazed, status conscious, sex starved consumers, toiling away day in and day out to earn more, so we could live the 'American Dream'. So much for Jinnah's and Iqbal's dream: an autonomous, powerful Islamic State for Muslims.

As we spiral down towards oblivion, our inebriety soars. Baluchistan is burning and here we have the second Karachi Fashion Week. Hate springs from every collective action of the nation and we rejoice in our sodden, corrupt independence. Of course, everything is under control, crime has slumped, economy has boomed, we are respected all over the globe; let's eat and dance and make love all night long... we have earned it. We have earned it well.

Our megalomania is eating away silently at what this country was built on. Our delusion gnaws at our core. We are the greatest nation of the world. Hell, yes. Fool's paradise!

With foes with in and with out, we have a responsibility to shoulder: save ourselves and the country. And here we are, having the best time of our lives with governance administered by the able few we so lovingly and devoutely elected to rape the sanctity of the Sabz Hilali Percham.

Salam ho tum per meri qaum. Lagay raho.
Everyone is pink inside. Ain't it true?
